Born in Shanghai and raised in France, Jacques Arnoux is the Founder and Managing Director for Asia for Pacific World, and is based in Shanghai.

A fusion of cultures, Jacques is a true French gentleman, with a deep passion for his oriental roots. In 1963 he travelled to Hong Kong and made it his home and the launch-pad for his pioneering career in the MICE Industry in Asia. He joined the travel industry with a tour company and worked in hotel management, before finally starting Pacific World in 1980. And the rest, as they say, is history…

Jacques was also the founding Chairman of the Hong Kong chapter of SITE, the first board member from Asia elected to be a SITE Board Director, and the first ever recipient of the EIBTM “Travel Personality of Year” Award at IT&ME in 1994.

MICE, which even today leaves him very little time for his only hobby, which is scuba diving in tropical waters.
